Making Your Own Wedding Favours
The practice of giving favours to each wedding guest is done for two reasons. First, it is the couple’s way of showing their gratitude to those who were there to share that special occasion with them. Second, it is distributed to serve as a reminder of that special day. To avoid extra costs, here are some tips on how you can make your own.
Print the bride and groom’s names on a white ribbon. Once this is done, you can tie the latter in a bow and place it on top of some big silver bells. Get some white silk or plastic long-stemmed white roses and cut the stamens out of them. Then, fill small mesh bags with rice and tie the tops with white or silver curling ribbon. Glue on a mesh bag into the middle of each flower. If you want to throw rise at the newlyweds, just untie the bows.
Buy clear glass ornament balls and fill them with dried flowers. Proceed by inserting a ribbon with the couple’s name and the wedding date written in silver or gold. Place a white ribbon on top.
